Miles Apart Yet Close To Heart

Miles apart yet close to heart,
My daughter, you rule my heart
Walking through the lanes of love
I see you ruling the territory my dove
Follow your heart, follow your dreams
To rise and gain the priceless esteem
Taking little steps on the road ahead
I see you stepping stone to success
Hold your head high while carving your path
Keep soaring high yet staying grounded
Inhaling the freshness of each new day
I see you leading through and through
Miles apart yet close to heart
My daughter, you rule my heart
Showering blessings all the way
God keep you safe wherever you stay

The Hand

Hand

I will walk you through the lanes of eternity
Firmly, consciously, yet giving you space
To pace to know the unknown
To explore, to learn and unlearn
The beautiful story of so called life
To soar high facing all rise and fall
In the journey of happiness and sorrow
Yet, so worthy so distinct
Hold your head high and walk
For my hand will always guide and hold
Your hand firmly, consciously, yet giving you space
But remember to stay grounded and grow
Let ego never touch your heart
Let knowledge be your chariot's coach
With all dignity and wisdom you grow
Lovingly said a mother to her child

If and Only if I were a bird

If and only if I were a bird,
With no boundaries to be confined to
Fly to the land full of greenery
Float in a river or an ocean
To an unknown destination yet so pleasant
Soak in the sun, bath in the stream
Rush to take another flight
Slow down to embrace or steal a glance
A tiny worry less step, a smooth take-off
A smooth landing to an uncertain place
To explore a bit, to inhale some more
To breathe a little to love even more
If and only if I were a bird

The Journey

Walking through a quiet hilly road
Slowly yet steadily measuring the steps
My destination unknown on a road
That never ends and tends to bend whenever it wishes
Gazing the shrubs and herbs
Bearing the fruit of happiness
I carefully steal a glance of nature
So not to disturb the natural habitat
Perhaps my thought to pluck
May unintentionally end its life
Oh, how will I be able to contribute
To please everyone, to be a part
Of nature spread
Said the little beautiful flower
Feel my silence, hear the unsaid
Kill the thought of plucking me o human
For I too have a right to live
To  bloom, to breathe and live hereby

Madikeri soothers

The pleasant whistling tune of a jungle bird,
The clapping sound made by another
The synchronisation carried by the drum player
The humming away of insects on their journey to ecstacy
Unaware of the people lodging by
To few they appear extremely pleasant
To other they seem to bother a lot
Yet to some their existence in nothing unusual
Yet, they ritually follow their heart
And sing to sooth, to breathe their melodious notes
A walk through the roads in Madikeri
Where the lush green plants
Soaked in fresh dew drops
Wave at each other exchanging the gentle breeze
Carefree of the happenings around
Enjoying the drizzling and sometimes whistling
Pour their heart for each other
The trees, the birds, the crickets all together
Let me breathe here for a while
Inhale the peace, the fresh fragrance and thoughts for a while.

Chirpy Little Bird of delight

She is the 1st ray of my morning light,
She is my chirpy little bird of delight
She is the twinkle of my eye
My love, my pride, my sparkling gem
How time flies,  how quickly they grow
Her tiny hands once gently held mine
While she took her tiny steps
And quickly learned to keep up the pace
In a blink of an eye she turns 21 with grace
It was yesterday when she learned to say
"Mumma, look what I have drawn today"
I thank God each and every day
To give me a reason to smile and say
Shower your blessings on her as always
Show her the path, show her the light
For she is my chirpy little bird of delight
Happy Birthday my love😘

A Quest

When it's hard to breathe and keep the count
Silence tears the heart and fears to fall apart
A quest to flow with the waves in the sea
The sheer delight to feel the eternal beauty
Soothes my mind and takes me to another world
A world that awakens the inmost soul
Free from the clutches of daily affairs
Ready to play the strokes unknown
Soaked in the fragrance of scented flowers
Where I inhale peace in every breath
Without the fear to reach a destination
Unknown, unfamiliar, unacquainted
Gently prepared to conquer the other side
Fantasising the marvellous life ahead

The Melodious Nature

The lush green surroundings
The hustle bustle on the roads
Seems to walk hand in hand
Not a minute to spare, not a minute to praise
Life goes on looking for a moment
To unfold the nature's worthy treasures
The carefree life of the chirping birds
Seems no longer to influence a common man
The nature's incredible beauty
Looks for beholder eyes
Cherish its morning glow
Let the soothing breeze ease your mind
Inhale the fragrance of the aromatic flower
For nothing is purer than the melody of nature's spell

One Last Time

I took her hand quietly in mine
Meek was her touch, so pure, so devine
Her glittery eyes announced the happiness
To witness the imperishable beautiful nature
The woods too echoed silently
For her presence marked the reason to rejoice
How lovingly she accepted them all
As if they were for her and she was for them all
No sooner did I steal a glance to note
An endless stare of ecstasy that flowed
I anxiously squeezed her hand to let her know
Her beautiful heart still conquered mine
She looked at me with contented smile
And breath her last, alas one last time.

Call me Autumn, Call me Fall

When the leaves begin to change colour,
And crispness grips them gradually,
When the days take a shorter route,
And evening starts getting chiller,
When stores flaunt their collection
Of Halloween and those of Fall,
My urge to make a miniature garden
Conquers a corner of my heart,
And here I sit in my balcony
With my precious pots and flowers around
Engrossed in capturing the spectacular beauty
And arranging the little garden around
Call me Autumn, call me Fall,
My miniature garden says it all,
The season of harvest blend with festivity
Where colorful shimmer posses my creativity
Take a look for a while to breathe,
Hop in my garden, gaze the view
Admire the nitty gritty art,
And walk through my dream lane

THE SNOWFLAKES

The snowflakes lovingly stroked my cheeks
While I stood gazing at the snow cladded peaks
Admiring, stunned by the Creator's ravishing master strokes
Happiness soothed my morning mood folks
And caressed me with cool breeze strokes
The chilling numbness made my voice choke
I couldn't feel my feets presence
The blood froze, the feet refused to move hence
Was it a bliss to be numb and freeze
Or a loving gesture of the breeze
I wanted to feel your hand around
Chilling the feel of numbness around
I opened my eyes with great effort
To see that its a dream yet to give comfort
The quest of admiring snow with you beside
Surrender to the sublime beauty and ride
To a place so heavenly and serene
A heaven on earth where I have never been
